Step 1: Go to the Academic Software page of MATLAB and click on the Request button to request your licence.
Step 2: Click on the download button to download the software.
Step 3: Extract the .zip file in your Downloads folder.
Step 4: Open the folder R2021a and run the .exe file.
Step 5: If Windows Defender asks for access, allow it.
Step 6: Create an account by clicking on 'Create one!' (or log in if you already have one).
Step 7: Fill in your details and click on Continue.
Step 8: Verify your account by clicking on the link in the email you received from MathWorks.
Step 9: Click on Continue.
Step 10: Enter a password and click on Continue.
Step 11: Accept the licence agreement and click on Next.
Step 12: Click on 'Advanced Options' and choose 'I have a File Installation Key'. Then click on Next.
Step 13: Enter the licence key you requested in step 1 and click on Next.
Step 14: Browse to the location of the network.lic file in the folder you just extracted and click on Next.
Step 15: Choose a destination location for the software and click on Next.
Step 16: Click on Next twice.
Step 17: Click on 'Begin Install'.
Step 18: Click on Close once the installation is complete.
The software is now installed and ready to use.
Note: to be able to use the software, you must be connected to the network of your university.
