How to use BookWidgets
Whether you're using BookWidgets for the first time or want to upgrade your account, here's how to get started quickly.
Don't have a BookWidgets account yet?
Step 1: Go to the BookWidgets page of Academic Software.
Step 2: Under Select software, choose Maak een account aan.
Step 3: Select your preferred software language.
Step 4: Click the Create an account button to start your registration.
Step 5: Enter your email address, agree to the terms of use, complete the verification, and click Sign up.
Tip: It’s best to use the email address provided by your educational institution.
Step 6: Enter the sign-in code you received by email and click Sign up to continue.
Step 7: To make signing in easier next time, you can set a password. Until then, you’ll sign in using a code sent to your email address.
- Choose a password: Create a password to secure your account and click Set password.
- Choose later: You can also add a sign-in method later via your account settings. If you want to continue without creating a password, click Continue without choosing a sign-in method.
Your account is now created and you can start using BookWidgets right away.
Already have an account and want to upgrade?
Step 1: Go to the BookWidgets page of Academic Software.
Step 2: Under Select software, choose Upgrade je account.
Step 3: Select your preferred software language.
Step 4: Click the Upgrade button to upgrade your existing account.
Step 5: Log in to your existing account using your previously chosen sign-in method:
- Sign-in code: Enter your email address and click Email me a sign-in code.
- Password: Enter your email address and password, then click Sign in with a password.
Your account will be upgraded immediately and you can start using BookWidgets.

If you change educational institutions or graduate, you can transfer your widgets to a new BookWidgets account. You can update your email address via your profile settings or migrate your widgets to another account by sharing and duplicating them.
