Step 1: Go to the Academic Software page of ArcGIS and choose your version from the drop-down menu on the right.
Step 2: Click on the Request button to obtain your authorisation number.
Step 3: Download the installation file by clicking on the download button on the right.
Step 4: Open the installation file in your download folder.
Step 5: ArcGIS will first extract the installation files. Choose a location for these files and click Next. After the installation, you may delete these files.
Step 6: The installation files have been extracted. Click on Close.
Step 7: Now the actual installation will start. Click on Next.
Step 8: Accept the Master Agreement and click on Next.
Step 9: Choose whether only you or every user of the computer can use the software and click on Next.
Step 10: Click on Next.
Step 11: Choose whether you want to participate in the improvement program and click on Install.
Step 12: ArcGIS Pro is now installed. Click on Finish.
Step 13: Once the installation is complete, the login screen appears. Do not log in, but click on 'Configure your licensing options' at the bottom.
Step 14: Choose 'Single Use License' and click on the Authorize button at the bottom.
Step 15: Then select 'I have installed my software and need to authorize it' and click on Next.
Step 16: Choose 'Authorize with Esri now using the Internet' and click on Next.
Step 17: Fill in your details and click on Next.
Step 18: Enter the code from step 2.
Step 19: Choose 'I do not want to authorize any extensions at this time' and click on Next.
Note: If you do have extensions available, you can find them on the right side of this page under 'Select version'. Choose the version to get the licence key for each extension separately.
ArcGIS Pro is authorised and ready to use.
