Step 1: Go to the Academic Software page of Altium Designer and click on the 'Start procedure' button at the top right to create an account.
Step 2: Fill in your details and click on Submit.
Step 3: You will receive an email to verify your email address. Click on the link to activate your account. You will then receive an email with your licence details.
Attention: the licence is only valid for 6 months!
Step 4: Go back to Academic Software and click the download button on the right to download the software.
Step 5: Open the .exe file in your download folder to start the installation.
Step 6: Click on Next.
Step 7: Select the desired language and click on 'I accept the agreement'. Then click on Next.
Step 8: Fill in your school email address and password and click on Login.
Step 9: Make sure that all the boxes are ticked, so that you have all the modules. Then click on Next.
Step 10: Now choose the location where you want to install the software and click Next.
Step 11: Choose whether you want to participate in the product improvement programme and click Next.
Step 12: Click Next to start the installation.
The software will now be installed.
Step 13: Click on Finish to complete the installation and launch Altium Designer.
After starting the software, you will see that you are logged on and your licence is valid for 6 months.
