How to install MathType

 

The installation steps for MathType version 7.4.4.516, shown on the screenshots below, correspond to the installation steps for MathType version 7.5.0.125.

 

Step 1: Go to the Academic Software page of MathType and click on the Request button in the top right corner to request your licence.

 

Step 2: Click on the download button on the right to download MathType.

 

Step 3: Open the installation file in your download folder.

 

Step 4: Click on 'I Agree' to accept the Licence Agreement.

Step 5: Choose where you want to install the software and click OK.

Step 6: MathType is now installed. Click on 'Exit Setup'.

Step 7: Open MathType. When the screen below appears, click on 'Enter a product key'.

Step 8: Fill in your name and email address and enter the licence key from step 1. Then accept the terms and conditions and click on Activate to activate your licence.

You can now start working with MathType.
