How to install Freeplane

Attention: If you do not have Java installed on your device, Freeplane will not work. Please go to the overview page to download Java.

Step 1: Go to the Academic Software page of Freeplane and click on the button 'Download Freeplane' on the right.

Step 2: Open the installation file in your download folder.

Step 3: Choose a language and click OK.

Step 4: Accept the Licence Agreement and click Next.

Step 5: Choose where you want to install the software and click Next.

Step 6: Click Next two more times.

Step 7: Click Install. Freeplane is now being installed.

Step 8: Click Finish to complete the installation.

The software is installed and will be launched.
