How to install ALPHACAM
Install ALPHACAM
The installation steps for ALPHACAM version 2021, shown on the screenshots below, correspond to the installation steps for ALPHACAM version 2024.
Step 1: Go to the Academic Software page for ALPHACAM and click the ‘Download ALPHACAM’ button to download the program.
Step 2: Unpack the zip file.
Step 3: Open the unpacked folder and run the 'Install_ALPHACAM' file.
Step 4: Click on 'Install ALPHACAM'.
Step 5: If an extra window pops up, click on Ja (Yes).
Step 6: Accept the license agreement.
Step 7: Choose if you want to help improve the customer experience.
Step 8: Click on Volgende (Next).
Step 9: Click on Volgende (Next) again.
Step 10: Choose if you want a desktop shortcut for ALPHACAM.
Step 11: Click on Installeren (Install).
Step 12: Choose whether you want to launch ALPHACAM right away or just complete the installation.
Launch ALPHACAM
Step 1: Go back to the ALPHACAM page on the Academic Software platform.
Click on the 'Request access' button to whitelist your IP address.
Step 2: Open ALPHACAM.
Step 3: Now you have to activate the license. Click on Netwerk (Network).
Step 4: Click on 'Definieer server' (Define server).
Step 5: Enter licenses04.academicsoftware.com and click on 'Server Testen' (Test Server).
Step 6: Click on 'Server toevoegen' (Add Server).
Step 7: Click on 'Verbinden' (Connect).
Step 8: Click on Configure to create a license profile.
Step 9: Select 'ALPHACAM Educational' on the left and Reserved under Key on the right. Then click on Opslaan (Save).
Step 10: Click on Ja (Yes).
Step 11: Click on 'Activeer' (Activate).
Step 12: You will now see that the software is licensed. Click on Beëindig (Finish). If ALPHACAM does not appear, close all ALPHACAM windows and restart the software.
ALPHACAM is now ready to use.
Note: When starting up the software for the first time, you may be notified that your licence is only valid for X days. You can ignore this message.
