Step 1: Go to the AcademicSoftware page for Microsoft DirectX 12 SDK and click the button, ‘Download DirectX 12 SDK’ to go to the Microsoft page. Click the red button to download the installer.
Step 2: Open the .exe installer file from your downloads folder and click Next to start the installation.
Step 3: Choose to accept the license agreement and click Next.
Step 4: Choose whether or not to submit anonymous data for research.
Step 5: Click Next to install the software in the standard location. You can also choose to change the destination folder
Step 6: Choose which components to install or to leave out, and click Next to start the installation.
Once it's finished, the DirectX 12 software developer tools will be installed on your pc.
