How to install Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributable

The installation steps for Visual C++ version 2017, shown on the screenshots below, correspond to the installation steps for Visual C++ version 2019.

Step 1: Go to the Academic Software page of Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributable and click on the button ‘Download Visual C++ Redistributable 2019’ to download the installer. You can choose the 2015 or the 2017 version under 'Select version'.

Step 2: Open the .exe installer file from your downloads folder and click Install to start the installation. Once the installation has finished, click Close, and the run-time package will be installed on your computer.

The software is installed and ready to use.
