Installing IBM SPSS
Step 1: Go to the Academic Software page of IBM SPSS and click on the button ‘Download IBM SPSS’ to download the installer.
Step 2: Open the .msi installer file from your downloads folder and click on Next to start the installation. If you get a Windows Defender warning, click 'More information' and 'Run anyway'.
Step 3: Accept the License Agreement and click Next.
Step 4: Click on Next to download Essentials for Python as well.
Step 5: Accept the License Agreement and click Next.
Step 6: Click on Next to install the software in the standard location. You can also change the destination folder.
Step 7: Click on Install to start the installation.
Step 8: Once the installation is complete, check the box to run the License Authorization Wizard and click on Finish.
Activating your licence
Step 1: Go back to the Academic Software page of IBM SPSS and click on Request in the top right corner. Copy this code and keep it with you for the next steps.
Click on Next.
Step 2: Choose the first option and click on Next.
Step 3: Enter your product code and click on Next.
Step 4: Click on Next once the authorization is complete.
Step 5: Click on Finish. Your licence has been activated and the program is ready to use.
