Step 1: Go to the Academic Software page of Arduino IDE.
- Click on the button 'Download Arduino IDE' on the right to start the download
or
- select 'Arduino online editor' under 'Select version' and click on the button 'Go to Arduino online editor' for the online version.
Step 2: Open the installer in your downloads folder.
Step 3: Click on 'I Agree' to accept the licence terms.
Step 4: Indicate which components you want to install and click on Next.
Step 5: Choose an installation folder and click on Install.
Step 6: The installation is complete. Click on Close.
The software is installed and ready to use.
Installing the Web Plugin
Step 1: Under 'Select version' choose 'Arduino Web Plugin' and click on the button 'Go to Arduino Web Plugin' to go to the Arduino download page.
Step 2: Click on Start.
Step 3: Download the agent for your Windows version.
Step 4: Open the installation file in your download folder.
Step 5: Click on Next.
Step 6: Accept the licence terms and click on Next.
Step 7: Choose an installation folder and click on Next.
Step 8: Choose if you want to use the Arduino Agent in other browsers than Chome or Firefox and click on Next.
Step 9: Click on Next.
Step 10: If you receive a warning from Windows Defender, click on 'Allow access'.
Step 11: The installation is finished. Click on Finish.
Step 12: Choose Yes.
Step 13: Return to the web page and click on Next.
Step 14: Click on 'Go to web editor'.
Step 15: Log in or create an account by clicking on 'Create one'.
Step 16: Enter your date of birth and click on Next.
Step 17: Fill in your details, accept the privacy policy and terms of service and click on 'Sign up'.
The Web Plugin is now ready to use.
