How to install fre:ac

Step 1: Go to fre:ac on the Academic Software platform and click on the button ‘Download fre:ac’ to download the software. Go to https://www.freac.org/ for other operating systems.

 

Step 2: Open the .exe installation file from your downloads folder to start the installation.
 

Step 3: Select your language and click on Next to continue. 
 

 

Step 4: Click on Yes to accept the licence agreement.

Step 5: Click on Next to install the software on the default location. You can also choose to change the destination folder.

Step 6: Select the (extra) components you want to install. The last 3 components are about using C++ and edit XML-files, you don't have to install them if you don't use them. Click on Next.

Step 7: Click on Next to create the selected shortcuts.

Step 8: Click on Next to start the installation.

Step 9: Once the installation is completed click on Finish. The program is now installed and ready to use.
