How to install Foxit Reader

Step 1: Go to the Academic Software page of Foxit Reader and click on the button ‘Download Foxit Reader’ to download the installer.

 

Step 2: Open the .exe installer file in your downloads folder. Choose your language from the drop-down list and click OK.

 

 

Step 3: Click Next and click Next again to accept the license agreement.

 

  

 

Step 4: Click Next to install the software in the standard location. You can also choose to change the destination folder.

 

 

 

Step 5: Select the components you want to install and click Next.

 

 

Step 6: Select the options you want and click Next.

 

 

Step 7: Click Next to continue with Safe-Reading mode. It is enabled by default.  
It prohibits the execution of scripts and other features, which can harm the security of the end user.

 

 

Step 8: Choose if you want to install a trial version of Foxit PhantomPDF (PDF editor).
If you don't need it, choose not to install Foxit PhantomPDF. 
Click Next and click Install to start the installation.

 

 

 

Step 9: Once the installation is complete, check the box to run the program and click Finish.
The program will prompt you to register for additional support. If you don't want this, click 'Not now'. 

 

 

 

Step 10: The program is now installed and ready to use.
