This article helps you detach a licence from your network or cloud server so you can use Pythagoras offline.
Detach your licence for offline use
Create a temporary licence for offline use
Step 1: In your browser, open your local Admin Control Center - localhost:1947.
Step 2: Click on the 'Products' tab.
Step 3: In the 'Actions' column, click the 'Detach' button next to your product.
Set the expiration date
You can set the expiration date within a maximum of 14 days for which the licence can be detached.
Step 1: Choose the online detach method.
Step 2: Specify the end date within the 14-day limit.
Step 3: Click the 'Detach & Attach' button.
Confirm licence detachment
You will see a confirmation message. An extra licence for offline use has been created.
Step 1: Click on the 'Sentinel Keys' tab.
In the 'Sentinel Keys' overview, you see:
- your normal licence, which you can still use when online. This licence is managed on a remote machine (name/IP-address)
- a temporary licence for offline use which is stored on your device (local)
Select the licence
The next time you start Pythagoras, you will be prompted to choose which licence to use. Select the licence you want to use and click the 'Connect' button.
Cancelling the detached licence
If you no longer need the detached licence, you can either wait for it to cancel automatically after the set date or cancel it manually.
Steps for manual cancellation
Step 1: Open your browser and go to your local Admin Control Center - localhost:1947.
Step 2: Click on the 'Products' tab.
Step 3: In the 'Actions' column, click the 'Cancel License' button next to your product.
Step 4: In the overview, click the 'Cancel License' button again.
Step 5: You will receive a confirmation that the licence was cancelled.
